When many products share the same requirements, maintain them on one source product and copy them to the others. The copied specifications stay connected to the source, so they are read-only on the target and can be refreshed by copying again.
Where: on one product, Copy Specifications in the top bar. For many products, tick them in Registry > Products, open Edit in the toolbar that appears and choose Copy specifications.

Open the target product, save any unsaved changes, and click Copy Specifications. Or select several products in the list and choose Edit > Copy specifications. The header checkbox selects the page; clicking it again selects every product that matches the current filter.

In Copy specifications, pick the source under Select a source product to copy specifications from.

Check Review what will be copied: Characteristics lists the source's class standards and groups, Material its material standards and groups.

Decide how existing specifications on the target are handled, then click Copy.

A product cannot be copied to itself. If the source is among the selected products in a bulk copy, that one row fails and the others are processed.
What a copied specification allows
On the target, the copied standards and groups sit in a section called Specifications from another product, with the source named and each item marked Copied specifications.

Remove the connection

Open the target product's Specifications tab and click Remove connection in the Specifications from another product section.

Choose Keep the specifications to leave them on the product as editable specifications of its own, or Remove the specifications to delete them and keep only the product's own.

Click Disconnect.
Disconnecting cannot be undone. Specifications you removed come back only by copying again.
Find the products that copy from a source
In Registry > Products, open Additional filters and pick the source in Specifications copied from. Use it before changing a source product to see what is affected, and afterwards to find the products to re-copy.
Duplicate names
Copying fails when the target already has a standard or group with the same name as one being copied. Either tick Remove existing product specifications when copying, or rename the conflicting item on the source or the target first.
API
